BCSO looking for suspects in a string of break-ins they believe are connected

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office has responded to three breaking and entering calls at local businesses in the last 10 days, and they believe it could be the same suspects committing multiple break-ins.

The sheriff's office says the BP Gas Station on Red Arrow Highway in Lake Township was broken into on Feb. 26, the Marathon Gas Station in the Dunes Truck Plaza in Chikaming Township was broken into on March 2, and Rogers Foodland on Hollywood Road in Royalton Township was broken into on March 6.

"The suspect vehicles appear to be a red in color Jeep Renegade on Feb. 26 and a white in color Nissan Murano on March 2," the BCSO said. "There is no vehicle information for the most recent Breaking and Entering on March 6. The vehicles had the license plates obscured by a black material at the time."

In surveillance images, the suspects look similar with dark clothing, hoodies, and masks. It looks like they used yellow crow bars to force entry.

Deputies say there are no photos of the suspects for the most recent break-in, but there was yellow paint transfer on a door frame that was forced open and that the suspects are targeting cash drawers and safes.

Authorities ask if you have any information about these individuals that you contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at (269) 983-7141, ext. 7224, or through Michiana Crime Stoppers 800-342-STOP.
