Autopsy results released in South Bend homicide

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has released the findings of the autopsy conducted on 33-year-old Terrell Poindexter.

According to the release, a forensic pathologist determined Poindexter's death to be a homicide and the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

Poindexter was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot at least once shortly before 2:00 a.m. on May 28, 2016 in the 500 block of East Broadway Street in South Bend.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit continues to investigate this shooting.
