INDIANA - The state of Indiana is putting new EV charging stations here in Michiana.
INDOT announced five of the 39 electric vehicle charging stations coming to the Hoosier state will be installed in our area.
INDOT reportedly got more than 100 applications for the chargers.
Locally, they'll be built and installed on West Brick Road in South Bend and County Road 4 in Elkhart, two will go on the toll road in Rolling Prairie, and one will be in Michigan City.
