You can fish for free in Michigan on June 13-14

Grab your fishing rods, Michiana, on June 13 and 14, fishing in Michigan is free!

According to the Department of Natural Resources, all fishing license fees will be waived on June 13 and 14 and a Recreation Passport will not be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during those two days.

Both residents and out-of-state visitors can fish on both inland and Great Lakes’ bodies of water for all species of fish during Free Fishing Weekend.

Fish regulations, however, will still apply.
