Warsaw hit and run sends pedestrian to nearby hospital

WARSAW, Ind. -- Early Saturday morning at around 12:25 a.m., the Warsaw Police Department responded to a hit and run that occurred on East Old Rd. 30 in the area of Eastgate Apartments. 

At that time, an eastbound white truck struck an adult female, 26 years of age.  The vehicle was reported by a witness to have fled the area at a high rate of speed, continuing eastbound on Old Rd. 30. 

Initial investigation of evidence on scene by patrol officers leads officers to believe the suspect vehicle may be a white Ford F-250 or F-350 and between the years of 2011 and 2016.  There will be damage to the front passenger area of this vehicle, specifically around the headlight officers say.  

The victim was rushed to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran EMS.  Her injuries included back, pelvis, and lower extremities.  Her status is currently unknown.
