United Way of St. Joseph County distributes nearly $350K to local non-profits

United Way of St. Joseph County has distributed nearly $350,000 to 29 local not-for-profit partners through the COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund.

Funds are distributed to those who are serving the most vulnerable to ensure food, shelter, health care and child care needs are being met, according to the United Way.

Agencies have received funding as follows based on the area they are serving.

FOOD RESOURCES:

  • Broadway Christian Parish: $3,000
  • Clay Church Food Pantry: $5,000
  • Cultivate Culinary: $50,000
  • Downtown Soup Kitchen: $3,000
  • First Unitarian Church of South Bend: $500
  • Goodwill Industries: $15,000
  • Hand 2 Hand Food Pantry: $300
  • Keller Park Church Food Pantry: $1,000
  • Meat Hunger: $10,000
  • Mishawaka Food Pantry: $3,000
  • Ronald McDonald House: $5,250
  • Salvation Army: $20,000
  • St. Joe Health System: $6,000
  • St. Margaret’s House: $5,000
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society: $30,000

HOUSING RESOURCES:

  • Catholic Charities: $15,000
  • Hope Ministries: $10,000
  • Imani & Unidad: $15,500
  • South Bend Heritage Foundation: $10,000
  • United Religious Community: $2,000
  • Upper Room Recovery: $10,000

SUSTAINING SERVICES:

  • Center for the Homeless: $10,000
  • Corvilla: $10,000
  • Life Treatment Centers: $5,000
  • Logan Community Resources: $50,000
  • Youth Service Bureau: $10,000
  • YWCA of North Central Indiana: $20,000

CHILDCARE AND HEALTHCARE RESOURCES:
