Threat against Concord Junior High School under investigation

ELKHART, Ind.—Concord Community Schools Police Department investigated a social media post threatening a “potentially violent incident” that was circulated on Monday night.

The school said that police found no credible threat against Concord Junior High School following the investigation.

At 7:10 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to the student’s home and spoke with the student and parents.

The juvenile admitted to posting the threat, according to the school.

Police believe the threat is an isolated incident and classes will continue as scheduled on Tuesday.

Both students and parents are encouraged to “see something, say something” in regards to incidents like this one.
