The 2020 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship has been canceled

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—Officials on Thursday announced that the 2020 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship has been canceled.

KitchenAid and PGA of America made the decision to cancel the golf event amid concerns related to COVID-19 as well as the stay-at-home order in the state of Michigan.

The 81st annual Championship was set to be held at Harbor Shores Resort in Benton Harbor May 19-24.

Originally, officials had looked at holding the event later in the year, but ultimately decided cancellation was the safest route with public health in mind.

All tickets will be refunded, according to event officials.

The golf championship has taken place in southwest Michigan since 2012.
