More wet weather arriving later tonight, but sunnier skies after
Great forecast for those of you with Labor Day plans today. Get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine! Temperatures climb to a high around 80 this afternoon, which will be a great time to fire up the grill.
If you're heading to Lake Michigan today, waves will continue to be choppy. A red flag means it is unsafe to swim. Also be cautious along the pier.
Tonight skies stay mostly clear with temperatures falling into the upper 50s. You may want a jacket out the door tomorrow morning to start our shortened work week.
You’ll also want to grab an umbrella for Tuesday afternoon. The first half of the day is dry, but showers and thunderstorms move in for the second half of the day.
There is a chance some of the storms could be on the strong to severe side. The primary impact in these storms is likely gusty winds.
By Wednesday morning, we’re dry again with temperatures seasonable through the end of the week. Another stretch of 80 degree temperatures is in store for us starting Saturday, so we’re not quite done with summer yet.
Labor Day: Sunny. High 80.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 58.
