Students in Plymouth celebrate Veterans Day

Students at Plymouth High School and Riverside Intermediate School celebrated Michiana's past military members for Veterans Day. Several members of the community as well as veterans and their families were invited to the events, which were scattered throughout the day.

Plymouth attorney Rick Huff was among the notable speakers who took the podium Tuesday morning at Plymouth High School. Huff was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam war. His speech was followed by a patriotic performance provided by Plymouth High School's band.

Congresswoman Jackie Walorski also offered her regards on what Veterans Day means to Michiana.

At Plymouth's Riverside Intermediate School, 555 students did their part either observing in the audience or taking part volunteering in the program. The program was put on by all schools within Plymouth's school district.
