Students disciplined after 2 BB guns confiscated at middle school

Four students at John Young Middle School were disciplined after 2 BB guns were confiscated, according to a letter to parents of students at the school.
Administrators sent the letter to parents on Wednesday that explained 2 BB guns had been seized and 4 students were disciplined.
They said the matter was resolved by school personnel, the school resource officer and the Mishawaka Police Department.
The principal encourages parents to check their children's backpacks before they leave for school each day.
