Michigan State Trooper opens fire on suspect in Benton Harbor
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department is investigating a firearm found at Riley High School Friday morning.
According to SBPD, school officials received a tip about a possible firearm in the building around 9A.M. this morning.
School security staff and the South Bend Police School Resource Officer worked together quickly to locate and confiscate the weapon.
After an investigation, a juvenile was detained at the Juvenile Justice Center.
The South Bend Police Department also noted that South Bend Schools will continue to work with the police to uncover more details surrounding this incident.
