We will be seeing thunderstorms all across the region today lasting through late tonight. Rainfall totals are estimated to be between .25 and .5 inches. Storm activity is expected to be mainly non-severe, but there is a possibility for a stray severe thunderstorm to develop, mainly in our southern counties. The main threats of any severe activity would include the potential for stronger wind gusts and localized heavier downpours that could lead to some isolated flood risks. Temperatures today will be topping out near 80.
Rain chances will start to drop off after midnight and we'll be waking up to dry conditions tomorrow. Dry conditions are in the forecast for most of this upcoming work week with most days being sunny or mostly sunny. Heat will return as well with highs reaching 90 by Tuesday.
Today: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 80.
Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms early. Low 66.
Monday: Mostly sunny. High 85.
