ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Sunday, January 30th, 2021

Today won't be as cold as Saturday across Michiana, with highs closer to 30 degrees. A few flurries or snow showers can't be ruled out, especially near Lake Michigan, but these should not slow us down at all. We'll continue our below-freezing streak through Monday, too. Highs will squeak into the 30s under partly sunny skies.

February brings a very brief warm-up before a winter storm moves in. First, Tuesday will feature afternoon rain as highs climb to near 40 degrees. Rain will changeover to snow from west to east Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wednesday looks snowy, and we should prepare for impactful winter weather on Groundhog Day. Forecast models have remarkable agreement up until this point. The confusion is with Thursday. As of this forecast, a few models want to give us another significant round of snow, while another couple of solutions send that second round well southeast or don't feature it at all. We'll continue to update you as we get more details. Another bitter cold blast will follow this winter storm, with highs in the teens Thursday and Friday and lows near zero.

Today (Sunday): Partly sunny. Few flurries/snow showers possible. High 28.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with some clearing toward morning. Low 14.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny. High 30.

Tuesday: Milder with afternoon rain. Rain changes to snow at night. High 40.
