Pier 1 permanently closing its doors in Granger on Wednesday

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.—The Pier 1 Imports store on E. University Drive in Granger will permanently close its doors on Wednesday.

The home décor and furniture store posted to its Facebook page that “everything must go, including the fixtures.”

Discounts of up to 80% off are good through the store’s last day in operation on September 23, the post said.

Pier 1 began its liquidation sales across 500 stores over the summer and said in June that it aimed to have all of its stores permanently closed by October.

The home décor store is the latest in store closures in the shopping plaza located off of N. Main Street and E. University Drive. The storefronts that once housed Luxe Home Interior and Dress Barn remain vacant.

A former Babies “R” Us storefront is the temporary home of a Spirit Halloween location.
