Pedestrian killed on M40 Thursday morning

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A Three Rivers woman was killed while crossing M40 near Spatterdock Lake Street Thursday morning.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department was called to the area around 10:30 a.m.
Their investigation revealed 76-year-old Shirley Boersma was walking across M40 when she was struck by a vehicle traveling south on M40.
Boersma died as a result of her injuries at the scene of the crash.
This crash is still under investigation and alcohol was not a factor.
