Passenger shot when suspects fire at vehicle on Indiana Avenue

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 300 block of W. Indiana Avenue Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.
The victim told police he was in the passenger seat of a vehicle and while in the 300 block of W. Indiana Avenue, two black males wearing black fired shots at the vehicle.
The victim was shot in the leg.
The driver headed for the hospital and was stopped by police in the 600 block of E. Boulevard.
Police said the passenger side windows and doors were damaged by the gunfire.
