Fewer than 1,000 customers of Midwest Energy without power

Midwest Energy & Communications reports 827 customers remain without power following after severe storms came through the area on Sunday.

MEC has several poles to replace and has called in outside crews to assist.

The townships affected by outages include Antwerp, Blissfield, Fabius, Howard, Jefferson, Madison, Marcellus, Mason, Porter, Paw Paw, Prairie Ronde, Texas, Volinia, Wayne and York in southwest Michigan and Deerfield, Fairfield and Riga in southeast Michigan
