One injured in ATV crash in Cass county

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that on Saturday his office investigated an ATV crash around 5:50 p.m. in the Myrtle Drive and Vans Lane area.

When arriving on the scene investigators found 67-year-old Garry Tinnell of Vandalia injured from an ATV accident.

Tinnell was operating his ATV on private property when he lost control and the ATV flipped on its side.

Tinnell received minor injuries and was transferred to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

He was not wearing a helmet and it is believed that drugs and alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.
