One dead after vehicle strikes telephone pole, tree on County Road 101

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - One person has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a telephone pole and a tree, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.

At 10:25 a.m. on Friday, deputies were called to County Road 101, south of County Road 108, for the incident.

According to the investigation, a 2019 GMC Terrain was traveling south on C.R. 101 when the vehicle ran off the east side of the road and struck a telephone pole and a tree.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Joshua Reams of Goshen, died at the scene before medial personnel arrived.

Reams was the only person in the vehicle.

The sheriff's office and the Elkhart County Coroners Office continue to investigate the crash.
