Notre Dame RB Deon McIntosh sent home for violating team rules

Orlando, FL- Notre Dame running back Deon McIntosh has been sent home and will not play in Monday’s Citrus Bowl, according to the University of Notre Dame.

The university says McIntosh violated team rules and is not eligible to play in the game.

McIntosh is now the fourth Irish player suspended for the bowl game.

On December 20, wide receiver Kevin Stepherson and running back Cj Holmes were suspended for a shoplifting incident at University Park Mall. That incident happened on December 15.

Shortly after, tight end Alize Mack was also suspended for the game due to what the program has called an internal issue.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the LSU Tigers in Orlando on New Year’s Day.
