Mishawaka man pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A Mishawaka man was sentenced on Thursday in a case involving more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.

On Aug. 30, 2017 Anthony Francis, 20, was arrested along with an accomplice when they distributed 198 grams of methamphetamine to another individual.

The transaction also involved discussion of more drugs and firearms.

Francis was on community corrections at the time of the drug transaction and charged with distribution of methamphetamine.

Francis pleaded guilty to the distribution and US District Court Judge Jon E. DeGuilio sentenced Francis to 78 months in prison followed by 4 years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by the FBI with the help of the DEA, South Bend Police Department, and the Elkhart Police.
