Michigan City Police investigating shooting on Barker Avenue

Michigan City Police are investigating a shooting that happened late Sunday night on Barker Avenue.

Around 10:30 p.m., dispatch received a 9-1-1 call about shots fired in the area of 204 W. Barker Avenue.

When officers arrived, initial reports were that no one was hurt.

A short time later, officers learned a victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police interviewed witnesses at the scene and collected evidence.

The investigation is ongoing.
