Michigan City High School football coach tests positive for COVID-19, team advised to quarantine

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind.—A coaching staff member at Michigan City High School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a post on the school’s Twitter page early Tuesday morning.

All football players and team staff are considered to be close contacts to the individual who tested positive, the school said, and have been advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.

All football practices and games are cancelled for the next 14 days for varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams.

The school said it is working with the LaPorte County Health Department regarding the case.
