Marshall County Humane Society offering public pet food pantry to assist pet families in hard times

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – The Humane Society of Marshall County has announced the opening of their public pet food pantry to assist those that have fallen in hard times and struggling to feed their pets.

Cat and dog food will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, with no required proof of eligibility as long as you are a resident of Marshall County.

The pantry is donation driven, therefore there may be times there will not be enough donations to meet your needs, stated the Humane Society on Facebook.

Food pick-up is available Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon, but arrangements must be made in advance to be sure food is available.

The Humane Society asks those in need to contact the shelter by calling (574) 936-8300 to find out if food is available prior to making the trip.

This program is intended to temporarily supplement monthly supplies of pet food and is not meant to feed stray animals or feral cats.
