Marcellus woman sentenced in connection to filling fraudulent accident claims

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – A Marcellus woman was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution after pleading guilty to filing fraudulent accident claims, the Michigan Department of Attorney General announced.

Christine Presock was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay $12,500 in restitution to Trustmark Insurance Company in addition to fees and costs.

Presock submitted six accident claims between June 2018 and August 2019 for injuries reportedly suffered by her, her husband, and her two children, according to reports.

Presock received over $12,000 in insurance benefits.

She pleaded guilty as charged in March for six counts of insurance – fraudulent acts.
