Major power outages reported in Mishwaka

Update -- Indiana Michigan Power tells ABC 57 that they have restored power to all of Mishawaka's stations and power should be back up and running.

MISHAWAKA, Ind. --  Major power outages were reported across Mishawaka on Thursday night. 

A Mishawaka Utilities employee tells ABC57 that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. 

Indiana Michigan Power confirms a high-power substation outage at an undisclosed location. Officials say crews will assess the problem at the substation to come up with an estimated time of restoration.

Electric customers are urged to call Mishawaka Utilities at (574) 258-1630 to report outages in their homes and businesses.
