La Porte Police investigating possible threat towards Handley School

LA PORTE, Ind. -- The La Porte Police Department is investigating a threat towards Handley School.
Police said the threat is from over a month ago. They said it doesn't appear anyone is trying to carry out the threat, nor has the means to carry it out.
La Porte Police, school resource officers with the La Porte County Sheriff's Office and the La Porte County Community School Corporation are taking steps to ensure everyone at school is safe, police said.
The investigation into the threat is continuing.
