Kosciusko County Deputies give to citizens in need

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- Its the season of giving.

Saturday, The Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department teamed up with New Life Christian Church to distribute gift cards to citizens who could use it most.

Sheriff Rocky Goshert and Pastor John Lowe developed a program to help those in need or for being outstanding individuals in the community.

“This time of year some people just need a little help to make it through the season, and others just need to know that people really care about them,” said Sheriff Goshert.

Both organizations provided 50 families with gift cards that are used for what they need.

New Life Christian Church donated the gift cards as their act of caring for the community.

The recipients responded with hugs, tears of joy, and encouragement to continue the giving.
