Grant will provide Narcan to Kosciusko County's first responders

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- First responders in Kosciusko County will receive doses of Narcan, the drug used to reverse the effects of a drug overdose, thanks to a grant from the Indiana Department of Health.

Sheriff William Rocky Goshert , Warsaw Fire Chief Michael Wilson and Kosciusko County Health Department Administrator Robert Weaver filed the grant request.

The county will receive 400 doses of Narcan to be given to first responders for use during overdose calls.

Training will be provided by the state.

The Warsaw Fire Department will distribute doses to all fire departments in the county.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department will distribute doses to all police departments in the county.
