Former president of letter carrier's union accused of embezzlement

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The former president of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 560, Benton Harbor, has been indicted for allegedly embezzling union funds.

Kelly Carter was charged in June 2019 in the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan.

He is accused of embezzling $7,130 in union funds.

The charges are a result of an investigation by the OLMS Detroit-Milwaukee District Office and the United States Postal Service’s Office of Inspector General
