Elkhart Public Library to host a book giveaway event on Sunday

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Public Library will be hosting a book giveaway along with diverse activities for the community.

The event called “El dìa de los libros/El dìa de los niños” will take place on Sunday, April 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The library will come together with the community to celebrate children and literacy.

The event starts at 2 p.m. and will last until 4 p.m. at Studebaker Park in Elkhart.

It will feature bilingual stories, a dance troupe and a collaborative project with Elkhart artist Francisco Avila.

The event is free to attend.

According to the American Library Association, “El dìa de los libros/El dìa de los niños”, is a celebration of literacy for children of all backgrounds.

The Elkhart Public Library said it is dedicated to informing, inspiring and empowering diverse communities.
