Eastbound lanes of bypass reopen, drivers urged to use caution

South Bend Police have reopened the eastbound lanes of the bypass after shutting it down due to safety concerns.

They stated the road was 'incredibly slick.'

The road was shut down between Michigan and Ironwood until crews could lay salt down on the road.

Around 12:45 p.m., the department Tweeted the road reopened.

Drivers are still urged to use caution.
