VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A Michigan woman was arrested on OWI charges after allegedly driving the wrong way on I-94 late Tuesday evening, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.

Dispatch received multiple calls to 9-1-1 around 9:45 p.m. about a GMC Acadia traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-94 at the 66 mile marker.

Multiple agencies and officers responded in an attempt to locate the vehicle.

Paw Paw and Mattawan police were the first officers to see the vehicle at the 62 mile marker.

They activated their lights and spotlighted the vehicle in an attempt to get the driver to pull over.

The vehicle stopped after the Pokagon Tribal Police deployed stop sticks at the 46.4 mile marker and deflated three of the vehicle's tires.

The driver, Ida Bee King, 47, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of OWI and for outstanding warrants out of Eaton County, Michigan.
