Deputies identify driver killed in crash on SR 5

LA GRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was killed Tuesday morning when her vehicle rear ended another vehicle on SR 5, according to the La Grange County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said 74-year-old Linda Short was traveling northbound on SR 5 when she failed to stop for a vehicle that was stopped, waiting to turn onto 400 S.
Short's vehicle collided into the back of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
After speaking with witnesses, deputies say it is possible Short suffered a medical issue that prevented her from operating her vehicle safely, reports said.
The crash remains under investigation.
