Deputies: Driver unable to avoid pedestrian, victim dies from injuries

PLYMOUTH, Ind. – A man is dead after a woman driving in the area of Michigan Road and 3A Road told police she couldn’t avoid a pedestrian in the road.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the call around 3:23 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The driver, Judy Lancaster of Lapaz, was traveling southbound on Michigan Road when she saw a man walking in the center of the roadway.

Lancaster told police she was unable to avoid the pedestrian.

Officials say the victim was identified as Ronald Obsenchain Jr. He died from his injuries.

The Marshall County Coroner assisted in the investigation.
