Rain Tuesday, especially the afternoon
System snow moves out this evening by around 6 PM, and some lingering lake effect showers remain possible through the evening and overnight. Roads should be fine for most of Michiana by Monday morning, with the exception of slicker conditions in Berrien, Cass and LaPorte counties. Monday will be a mainly dry day. Scattered lake effect showers remain possible for Michigan counties for the morning.
Frigid cold air is moving in, dropping temps into the single digits tonight and only rising to 15 tomorrow. Wind chill values will be in the negatives, rising a threat for frostbite. Cold lingers around through Tuesday. As it does, lake effect and system snow will be possible again on Tuesday and Wednesday. This may add around 1” per day, mainly in Michigan.
Tonight: Mostly to partly cloudy with a chance of L.E. snow showers. Cold. Low of 6. Feeling like -14.
Monday: Partly sunny and cold with a some L.E. snow showers in Michigan. Breezy. High of 15. Feeling like 0.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered L.E. and system snow showers. Breezy and cold. Highs in the mid teens.
