Death investigation underway after body is found in Elkhart

UPDATE: Police have identified the body as that of 39-year-old Jessica Mitchell.
ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a body was found in the 500 block of Modrell Boulevard Sunday.
The call came in just after 4 p.m.
Officials say due to some body decomposition, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit will now be handling the investigation.
