CSX announces railroad crossing closures in Berrien County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- CSX Transportation will be closing three railroad crossings for maintenance work in Berrien County, with the first closure happening on Tuesday.

The contracted repairs will be in place in order to improve safety and ride quality for motorists at the railroad crossing stations.

No thru traffic will be permitted once the closings begin, with all repairs expected to be completed by the end of June.  

The closing on Lakeside Road begins on Tuesday and is anticipated to last five to six days.

Three Oaks Road’s crossing will be shut down on June 6 with an estimated six to seven days of repair.

Work on the Sawyer Road crossing will begin on June 13 and is also expected to take six to seven days for completion.
