Charges filed against man in connection with November shooting on Lincolnway West

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office filed charges Monday against a man in connection with a shooting on Lincolnway West in November 2022, according to the South Bend Police Department.
Trevonn Johnson, 29, was charged with the following:
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon
- Battery by means of a deadly weapon
- Criminal recklessness with a firearm
Johnson is currently at the St. Joseph County Jail on unrelated charges.
At 1:20 a.m. on November 19, 2022, police were called to the 2200 block of Lincolnway West for a shooting report.
At the scene, officers found a vehicle that had crashed into the front yard of a home near Lincolnway West and Elmer Street.
Three people were inside the vehicle, including a woman with an apparent gunshot wound.
She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
