Car crash in Cass County leads to property damage

VOLINIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Granger man was driving northbound on Decatur Road around 4 p.m. Friday when he collided with another car at the intersection at Marcellus Highway after failing to stop.

68-year-old Wayne Christenson of Granger collided with 65-year-old John Wood of Dowagiac, who was driving westbound on Marcellus Highway.

Wood’s vehicle left the roadway and then crashed into a house.

Wood was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was later released.

Both drivers wore their seat belts. Police believe that alcohol was not a factor.

An investigation is ongoing.
