Blizzard update from Cass County Sheriff's Office

CASS COUNTY, Mich. --You're reminded by the Cass County Sheriff's Office about the Blizzard Warning from the National Weather Service continuing until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Cass County roadways are still dangerous, with multiple roads drifted shut, along with blowing snow and high winds are continuing to make white out conditions.  

Plows have been pulled off the road by the Cass County Road Commission during this time, for the safety of their crews and driving public.

Unless it's an absolute emergency, no one should consider driving in this weather, but if you do choose to travel in this storm and crash, you could face a ticket for being at fault, as there's no exception for the bad weather.

You might have to wait for help to arrive and you may put others in danger as well.

You're are asked to please stay home and only travel if it's an emergency.

Protect yourself and others during this holiday season, be smart and stay at home.
