Bill Nye to speak at The Mendel Center on Feb. 8

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Bill Nye is planning to speak as part of the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan Speaker Series hosted by The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College on Feb. 8, 2022.

The presentation is set to get underway at 7 pm.

Nye is known as a scientist, engineer, comedian, author and inventor. Perhaps best known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, his love for science and teaching has garnered 18 Emmy awards throughout his television career.

“An Evening with Nye” at The Mendel Center will bend his humor, intellect, curiosity, and devotion to solving complex issues through science.

Before the presentation, a buffet dinner will be held at the newly renovated Grand Upton Hall, which begins at 5:30 pm. Nye is expected to make a brief appearance during the dinner.

After the dinner, Nye will guide guests to The Mendel Center to their seats.

Tickets for the dinner and presentation are separate. General admission for the presentation is anywhere between $50 to $80, depending on the seat. Dinner tickets are $35, are on sale now and can be found here.
