Bicyclist dies in crash, driver flees the scene

NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. – A bicyclist is dead after he was struck by a vehicle and left on the side of County Road 800 North on Tuesday evening.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, emergency crews responded to the area of CR 800 North and 650 East around 8 p.m. where they found the victim, 70-year-old Ronald Strieby, deceased along the roadway.

Deputies believe Strieby was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.

Witnesses told officials the suspect vehicle was a light-colored late model, full sized truck.
