SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Cubs will host Daniel Tiger’s “Be My Neighbor Day” at Four Winds Field on August 17.

People who register by August 12 for the event will be allowed to enter Four Winds Field at 5 p.m., an extra hour before the general public.

Families will be able to participate in pre-game activities and giveaways before the South Bend Cubs take on Quad Cities at 7:05 p.m.

Daniel Tiger will be on the field prior to and during the game, but will not be able to take pictures with families due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Two Daniel Tiger themed locations will be set up at the stadium for families to take some fun pictures and videos.

“We are excited to partner with PNC Grow Up Great and the South Bend Cubs on this celebration of summer with our friend Daniel Tiger. We look forward to a fun, family evening with gift bags for the kids and a great time for all at Four Winds Field.  We are encouraging all attendees to bring one item of canned food per person for the Food Bank, as a great way to teach children about giving back, a primary lesson of Daniel Tiger,” said Steve Funk, Associate General Manager of WNIT.
