Attempted murder suspect from Detroit arrested in Cassopolis

Cassopolis Police arrested a man wanted in Detroit for attempted murder after receiving a tip the fugitive was in the area.

On Monday, Cassopolis Police received a tip a man wanted by the Detroit Police Department and the Harper Woods Police Department for attempted murder and armed robbery had been seen in the area.

Just before 11 p.m., officers located the suspect's vehicle.

Police located the fugitive in the passenger seat and took him into custody without incident.

The female driver was taken into custody on unrelated charges.

A loaded .40-caliber rifle was located behind the male suspect, police said.

The suspects name will be released after arraignment.
