57-year-old man drowns in Ackley Lake

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A 57-year-old man's body was located approximately one hour after he disappeared under the water at Ackley Lake in Paw Paw Saturday afternoon, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to the 34000 block of Hillside Avenue for reports of a possible drowning.

Deputies arrived quickly and coordinated a search and rescue operation with first responders.

Approximately an hour after he first disappeared, the 57-year-old victim's body was found.

The victim's name has not been released.
