31-year-old Shipshewana man arrested after fight involving gun

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind.—A 31-year-old Shipshewana man was arrested following a fight involving a gun on August 31, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 12 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to reports of a physical fight in the 6000 block of N 650 W in Shipshewana.

All people involved were separated when police arrived.

A victim with multiple injuries was checked by paramedics at the scene.

The weapon involved in the fight is listed as a .40 caliber handgun, according to police reports. 

Justin Bowen, 31, of Shipshewana, was arrested and taken to the LaGrange County Jail on suspicion of battery, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and pointing a loaded firearm.
