15-year-old arrested for allegedly injuring 14-year-old sibling

ELKHART, Ind. -- A 15-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly injuring his 14-year-old sister Wednesday afternoon, according to Elkhart Police.

Around 2:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a home on Dotson Street for a disturbance.

The 14-year-old told police her 15-year-old brother became upset, strangled her and cut her with scissors, reports said.

The injury to her arm was non-life threatening.

The 15-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
