Wounded Warriors Softball stops in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Byers Softball Complex will be hosting the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team™ on Saturday, August 5th.

The event will be held from 9a.m. to 11a.m.

WWAST is visiting South Bend as a part of their tour to a tournament in Topeka, Ind.

The charity aims to inspire and educate others, as well as raise money to help Wounded Warriors Amputees and their families.

The men embodying the team are former veterans who have become athletes after rehabilitating themselves from severe injuries resulting in amputation.

The men compete against able-boadied teams in exhibition matches throughout the country.
